Think About Egypt!

Egypt. The land of the upside-down river (If you didn't know, the North Nile is at the bottom of Egypt.) Relatively stable. Until recently...

You've probably heard this from a lot of places, but now you can hear it from here!
Apparently, the elected president of Egypt has had a nice, long reign for over 20 years. His office surely reeks of communism. Not a nice stench. Anyway, Egyptians all over the world stopped being Egyptians
and became Tunisians, when they started protesting peacefully, by throwing sticks and stones, and the Police/Military fought back. Kind of... Some of them joined the youth with there peaceful protests, and the crowd of demonstrators became to BIG for Egypt. Social Networking Sites appear to have had affects on organization. That's how the world will end, surely Facebook will kill us. After some more young people get shot, Egypt will become an a) Communistic place where Mummies are forced to work in sweatshops, or b) A democracy.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN IMPROVE EGYPT?

Think About How China Views Us?

I recently found this video on China: specifically on how Chinese teens see us.
It's fascinating!

Think About North Korea

North Korea. It's got no electricity, but it's got nukes. Cower in fear as the Nation of People Who Probably Don't Know That There Was a Man on the Moon (NPWPDKTTWMM, obviously.)
Well anyway... I found this video about some "tourist" journalist Americans who got into
N.K., and it puts a new view on how great America is. Please note that occasionally the
guys say a few "bad words." Each video is about 20 min, and there are 3, so...

Number One:

Two:

And Three:

Now, I think that this is more extreme then other
communist countries, this is just INSANE!!

What do YOU think about communism NOW?

Think About the Enviroment: Some Ideas...

I'm NOT another one of those Eco-freak hippies high on "organic pot."
Whatever that is.
I think business is as important as the environment! If either of them shriveled
up tomorrow and died, we'd be not just toasted-but crispy, too!
I do think the world is full of waste. I cannot stand seeing
unused things being thrown out, when they are a) perfectly fine and b) could be given to someone. I think that bureaucracy has a part to do with this: You cannot deal with everyone one Earth as a friend and still get the job done efficiently.
However, there can be major improvements in our culture and on an individual basis, too.
Say you're at a conference where you've eaten lunch, and you see an un-opened soda
that will be thrown away. Why not take it and enjoy it later?
That saves you that much money, and saves the environment from one more soda can...
Just a better way to live by, that's all!
I also have other ideas from helping the environment and making life
more efficient and productive.
  • Water is often wasted. We could have air-suction removal of human waste!
  • Solar panels installed as an industry standard would increase the building cost, but also have you spending less on electricity!
  • Virtual space: While this already happens to some extent, book stores needn't exist in the same manor: Have them be online, with "dump sites" for books, where you give up a real book for a virtual book voucher for the book of your choice.
  • Virtual space: We can also save thousands for companies by streaming A/V on the net. Now you don't have to go to freezing NYC for your conference.

Those would all presumably work nicely. Unfortunately they don't exist yet...

What would you do to increase efficiency and help the environment?

Think About It!

I want to challenge you to think! I think that people often times don't think before they act,
and I'm going to try to change that. How you ask? Well, I'm going to post videos and questions
that challenge and encourage you to think in new ways, and to answer them by commenting.

Come back soon for the first questions/media...
